Italy n Greece

Hey guys, Monaco was great! Beautiful place amazing cars ferrari's, Lambourghini's merc the lot even a Viper, rich bastards. Played Black Jack at the Casino and won 300 Euro was wrapped could have kept going but we had to leave to catch the bus back or then again i could have lost it all. My friend who was playing with me won 500 euro we made a good team and i never normally bet. Anyway the next morning we heading down to Venice stopping on the way to Verona. We saw the balcony of Romeo n Juliet n thats pretty much it there. Venice was gorgeous, the was they blow glass is amazing and they're so quick at it to. Of course we had to go on a Gondola ride drinking champers as Venice is the city above water it really is surrounded by water there are no cars or motorbikes. We visited St Marc's Square it was a really nice city. Gelati and Pizza to die for, was starting to get sick of crepes and baguets. From Venice we drove down to Florence wasnt much to do during the day but that night was a party night. We went to a club called Space Electronic Disco. Downstairs was Karioki upstairs this mazzive dancefloor. It went off, didnt drink much though cause i was coming down with a cold but still made the most of it danced all night. Rome followed The next morning and as you can imagine we all were asleep on the bus and all week the weathers been in the 40's so that hasnt helped. We're complaining it's too hot n you guys are freezing cold lol. Oh almost forgot Pisa on the way to Rome. We didnt have time to climb it they only gave us an hour to take photo's n walk around. Disappointed. The cheesy photo's are so hard to take i took others really good holding up the leaning tower but whoever took mine was hopeless oh well. Rome wow Lots to see and do but me was to sick to do it. : ( We started the morning off with Vatican City! I loved it a few of us left contiki's group and joined a headset tour which explained everything painting and statue we looked at i was so glad cause the rest of the tour had no idea wat they were seeing and by who. Michaelangelo's Sistine chapel was creative and wonderful to be in and admire. There were Raphael and Leonardo's painting's too. i loved it We ending in the Basilica and out into the yard where the pope makes his appearances. Next was a tour guide through the roman ruins. Unfortunately i only got half way, same with the rest of my tour, it was 130pm and it was a scorcher of a day over 40 degrees, we quickly went to the Colosseum and took some photo's and then went shopping and headed off to the Spanish Steps. It was a long and tiring day but great at the same time. Later that night my sister Leeann and her husband Matt met me at my hotel. Was good to catch up and empty some of my luggage lol. Next day was Sorrento after a long bus drive we didnt have much time to enjoy it but we went to Capri and relaxed on the beach took a short cruise to the blue grotto was nice to relax. that night we ate dinner in Sorrento. What a beautiful view we watched the sun set whilst eating all the pasta and appetizers we could fit into our stomachs. the view was of the ocean and the port. Next morning was Pompei on the way to Bari, the city covered by volcano lava. This place i definately recommend. I'm not much of a history buff as you can tell but the story behind this city is so interesting. Oh the bodies that they were able to make casts out of show so much detail, there faces as they were in pain and screaming its so sad and even what they were wearing. This place got to me. I know this is rushed but my time is almost up. Once we got to Bari we caught a Ship across to athens over night and got to Greece in the Afternoon, wow time flies i have to leave it at that for now but i'll continue Greece when i next get the chance. Right now i am in Patmos 1 of the few islands i am visiting in Greece off to Rhodes tomorrow we have a Contiki party on the boat tonight so should be fun, Miss you all. take care xoxo

Europe

Hey guys, wow its been a while i cant even remember what to write theres so much that has happened its just so hard to find time to use the net on a contiki your always on the go and barely have time to sleep. I'm in Nice at the moment we have a free day to relax so we went to the beach and now i'm here. Wow Since the last entry We've had the Festa in Nadur, Gozo which was nice. Hrs of fireworks they really done well this year, and heaps of drinking, Gosh so much has happened since then i dont know where to start. I went to london on the 7th July a week ago. How small is this world i was in the pub of my hotel in London meeting all the people on my tour and i turn around and there sitting down drinking was a friend of mine from high school whom i havent seen in 7 yrs. We're not on the same tour tho but if was good cathching up. The next morning we all left for Dover to catch the Ferry to France n then a 4 hr bus drive to Paris. Wow although it rained most of the time it is such a beautiful city. So much to see and do. Me n a few of the girls were up the next morning at 7am and didnt get back to our hotel til 530pm n only cause we went to moulin rouge that night at 6pm. We saw and went up the eiffel tower, now thats a must when you go to Paris the view from the top is Amazing, We had Chocolat banana n cream crepes yummy and then went to the arc de triumf - No idea how to spell it - It's this crazy round about where no insurance company will cover any accidents its that bad in the middle of it is a memorial for an unknown soldier and many others. After that we headed to the lourve to see the mona lisa which is smaller then you'd think and then headed to the notre dame cathedral. The building are beautiful in France and half finished. They've been building most of the cathedrals since the 1800's. Later that night we went to the Moulin Rouge it was a relaxing evening great show too much tits though degraded the woman. Oh n i ate frog legs and snails i have pics to proove it lol they were delicious Day 3 we headed for Barcelona Spain. I'm saying right now i never want to catch a bus in my life again 10hrs it took us with stops to get there i was so sick but it was worth it I enjoyed Spain The night life was crazy and so much fun i went out both nights til morning, i've made heaps of friends on the tour they're all pretty great there's 48 of us and we're all aussie 1 is canadian 1 is american n 3 are from new zealand so all of us feel like we havent left Australia n are just hanging out every day. We feel like we're in big brother cause we're together everyday all the time. Oh i forgot to mention my room mate is great thank god she's a really nice Croatian girl from Sydney called Mia. So yeah Spain Didnt do much site seeing went to dinner saw a flamenko dance show which intense, They tell a story with there dancing not that i understood what was happening but the emotions they put into their dancin is intense. Spain was a shopping fest for me, Great clothes now i'm waiting for italy to buy shoes. = )So yeah another long bus trip the next day and we arrived in Nice we had to shower n head straight out as soon as we get there cause we had dinner booked at 7pm then last night we headed for a pub called Waynes. I had a great night it went off. Besides the fact that you could barely move and after you have a few drinks they push all the tables aside and turn them into dance floors i mean litterally they want you to dance on them Theres a live band the host was great fun and after bout 1am it turns into a dj request party. The highlight of my night though was the sailors. thats right men in uniform. The French Navy decided to have a night out so i made sure they stayed with our group everyone took their sailor hats we all took photos and danced all night, alot of fun. So yeah here i am now the next day just at the beach in Nice and now going to shower and head out for Monaco for dinner and casino. Tomorrow morning we head out to Italy Venice. Cant wait. Dont know when i'll be able to write again but hopefully sooner than last time

Update

Hey guys, it is so hot over here 36 to 40 degrees everyday. I opened my mouth too soon, Yesterday my cousin took us out on his speed boat around Comino (Malta's 3rd n smallest island) n today i look like a lobster, got a mad tan though hehe. The island was beautiful we drove the boat into all these caves and we saw the elephant rock, which is a massive rock that looks like the head of an elephant when you look at it from 1 angle n when you drive to the other side it looks like an elephants backside, its really funny. We parked if u call it that the boat n jump off into the ocean for a swim, Then we went to the Blue lagoon, The water is amazing so clear n blue its like your in a swimming pool. We couldnt swim there though for there were jellyfish. Later that evening we went to my cousins house for a bbq. Her house is amazing. They have a heated Billard Table n A swimming pool and the design of the house is antique but modern. Our house on the other hand is alot of fun, we count who can kill the most cock roaches. It's cosy tho n enough for us to get by for the few weeks we're here. Oh Yesterday was interesting we were at ramla beach and they were filming a scene for Coronation st or whatever its called its a pommy tv show on ABC in Melb. I think we're on it in the background. Our friend Claudette got paid 25Pounds to be an extra, She had a laugh. It takes so long for them to film like 5 mins of the show, i wouldnt be bothered bein an actor. lol Last night thy started the fireworks for our town feast We were out at our local pub Gebuba til 4am My cousins boyfriend brought over a thunderbird from America so we went for a Cruise down to the beach, the only bad thing is once you reach a high speed you have to stop or else you'll end up into a house or off the cliff lol Thats 1 thing thats hard to get used to here drink driving not an issue, Speeding not an issue seat belts either, The only thing you get stop by police for is road works or a funeral walking past. Me n my cousin were tripping we were on the way to the city n my Cousin from malta sees a police car so he speeds up and cuts him off and speeds away. We were waiting for the sirens to go off but nope. Nothing. He just started laughing when he saw our faces. If you can drive in Gozo u can drive anywhere trust me. You can tell who drink drives cause the car is half on the nature strip n half on the road. Anyway i finally tried to put some photo's on the site and as i was uploading them onto my cuz's comp it crashed lol it was so funny the comp kept resetting itself. I'm going to go to my friends video shop and do it from there hopefully i'll have better luck. Well cant go to the beach today cause my skin needs a break from the sun so i dont know what to do. I cant believe i have said anything yet the amount of stray cats n dogs here is not funny. I feel like catching them all n paying for them to be desexed, N finding homes for them. The people are good though in a sense that every second house leaves out food for them but that just keeps them around. There's already 3 cats i've seen bout to have kittens n all the male cats have testicles i can honestly say i dont think i've seen many males cats with them til now. They look weird, everyone here is laughing at me cause i took a photo of this cat that was sleeping on our roof and when i looked at the photo's the first thing i said was oh my gosh look how big his balls are. It just came out. Anyway thats the way it is here people dont believe in spending money on animals so opening up a vet clinic wouldnt be worth it, they're all tight ass's. Anyway i better leave it for now I'm sure i've bored u enough. I'll fill you in after the festa. By for now xoxox

Plane Trip

Hey Guys i fianlly made it to Malta a couple of days ago, Been flat out just had time now to jump on the net. What can i say the flight wasnt too bad pretty long 26hrs but the last sector was the best fun from Cyprus to Malta. The flighties found out that i work for catering so they took me into the Galley and started making cappacinos and champaign and kept bringing me drinks trying to get me drunk, trust me if they ever offer you campari red with orange juice pass it's the worst tasting drink i've ever had. we took photo's but i still havent worked out how to put them on the net so i might have to email them. Once we landed my whole family was waiting for us, Mate (my sisters husband) was so excited to see the Big M at the airport he love's his maccers. We dove to the ferries and caught one to Gozo. i was so happy to finally be off the plane. We settled in to our home and then went grocery shopping n of course straight to Ramla bay, our local beach. It was beautiful couldnt wait to start on my tan. Our goal is to go to the beach everyday which we have so far. I'm Brown already n not burnt the sun is great here not as strong as Melb. Nadur our town is preparing with decorations for St Peter n St Paul Feast. It starts on Wed til fri. Its one big town party cant wait. Up until now all we've done is sleep eat drink and go to the beach. Was my sisters birthday yesterday so we took her out for dinner in Xlendi. Really nice restruant cost me 90 Pounds for 7 people which is just under $400. Was worth it tho Anyway me off to the beach now i didnt have much time today so when i do i'll try and send some photo's and write better. Talk soon N miss you all.xoxo

Less then 7 hrs to go

Wow the day has finally come, I've had less then 15hrs sleep in the past 5 days been partying flat out so i shouldnt have a problem sleeping on the plane. lol Gonna miss all of you Cant believe i'm going, Its one thing to cross off my list of life goals. Well hopefully i can keep this up so i can fill you in on all the goss, Bye for now xoxo

HEY GUYS! GLAD U COULD JOIN ME ON MY TRIP N GET JEALOUS HEHE. 1 MORE NIGHT 2 GO N THEN I HEAD OFF 2 GOZO, MALTA. IT STILL HASNT HIT ME YET I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TO GO TO WORK TOMORROW. I'M SURE IT WILL VERY SOON. WELL I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH TIME I'M ACTUALLY GONA HAVE TO WRITE ON HERE FOR I'VE NEVER DONE A CONTIKI TOUR BUT HOPEFULLY I'LL FIND THE TIME. I JUST THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE EASIER THEN SENDIN EMAILS THANKS 2 THE IDEA FROM JASON N RICK. WELL I BETTER GO FOR NOW STILL HAVENT PACKED THATS ME ALWAYS LAST MINUTE.
